Video & Computerized Motion Analysis is an incredible way to accelerate the learning curve of an athlete. I wish we had these kind of tools when I was learning to play....it would have saved me incredible amounts of time....but that's another story.

We do have these tools for our athletes today & we should use them, because it SAVES us money in instruction time & training by accelerating the process!

As a Coach, the hardest thing to do is to actually SHOW an athlete what he is doing.......the athlete FEELS he is doing things a certain way, based on his OLD MUSCLE MEMORY.......This is what he goes back to automatically, because he is relying on established muscle memory as his guide & cannot relate to a different or unusual, new "feel"......He THINKS he is doing things a certain way.........but, that is not necessarily so!

With Video in Slow Motion, I can BEGIN to show the athlete what he is doing......but, to take it a step further, I import the video into a computer & turn it into Motion Analysis with Kinetics! In the kinetics, I can PRECISELY SHOW the athlete what he is doing & then COMPARE HIM SIDE BY SIDE with another athlete..........

Athletes learn better visually! The visual references IMMEDIATELY give the athlete a better comparative sense of where he is & where he wants to be! This comparative process ALLOWS the athlete to RELATE to the FEEL & MUSCLE MEMORY he has established much quicker....so he can establish NEW MUSCLE MEMORY in record time!

Now I can train athletes all over the world through video, because of the heightened accuracy of Computerized Motion Analysis & the increased COMPARATIVE AWARENESS I can impart to them via side by side, comparative video motion analysis with ANGLES, PATHS & MORE........
